When Lin came to our program he was living with multiple loose teeth, constant pain, and infection that impacted all aspects of his life. We were able to assign him to Dr. Michael Yeh, a prosthodontist from Federal Way, WA. Dr. Yeh's compassionate comprehensive approach has made a tremendous impact on Lin’s life. He extracted several teeth, provided bone grafts, and 10 dental implants with crowns. Lin shared that his dental journey with Dr. Yeh and his team was amazing and has made a huge difference. He said, "I'm more comfortable all the way around and the infections in my mouth are gone". He went on to say, "I can't thank E4V enough for connecting me with Dr. Yeh and his team. Everyone involved was wonderful".

Thomas was assigned to Dr. Najarian in 2016 for comprehensive dental care and now sees him for routine maintenance care. It has been incredibly meaningful for Thomas to see someone from the community care for him and help him heal from the physical and emotional wounds of war. Thomas shared, “Dr. Najarian was my dentist before he was my friend, but I’ve been fortunate to call him both for over six years. My teeth were in terrible shape and have required a great deal of attention, but Dr. Najarian has never made me feel like a burden. His work speaks for itself, and I’ve never had anything but the utmost confidence in his expertise. He’s as skilled as he is gentle, and despite intensive treatment over the years, I’ve never experienced soreness. Not once.”

When George applied for our dental program, he was in chronic pain and discomfort and missed being able to enjoy his favorite foods. We assigned George to the University of Washington School of Dentistry, one of our partnering dental schools. UW dental student, Shannon, worked with him over the course of several months and made a full upper denture for him. George shared that when he found out that he qualified for free dental care, it was a "huge relief!" Everyone who has had a hand in his care has been "absolutely fantastic" and it's made a difference in his life. He is very grateful and happy to have been a part of this program. More importantly, he has restored oral health, is out of pain, and can now smile brightly while enjoying all of his favorite foods.
